When girls are between 10 and 15 years old, they will begin to notice certain things happening in their bodies. Do not be scared, this is all part of growing up. The most important change for girls is that they will begin to experience menstrual periods.
Menstruation is when the girls see blood coming out of their vagina. Before this blood, they may see vaginal discharge on their underwear. All of this is normal. You are not sick. You are not infected with a virus.
Speak to your parents, caregivers and other adult people you trust. When you start noticing vaginal fluids, be aware that your menstrual cycle has begun.
Be prepared, keep sanitary towels close by.
ABOVE ALL, DO NOT WORRY, DO NOT PANIC. IT IS PART OF GROWING UP.
