This simply wouldn't work and kept scanning out the full text when the Red Mark button was pressed. It should just show a letter. The solution was to delete all the config files and start BSLAppSimple from scratch again.
bslappsimple/config delete the files and the contents of the auto save folder.
bslappsimple/config/autosave/
Notice that the laser may not return to the zero position after Marking.
Press the Red Mark button and then press Stop. The red dots will then align again.
Note the required use or not of the Reversal option!
