Why Indians if there are millions without work in Russia?
While some are closing the doors to migrants from the CIS, others are opening the gates... for India. The Sverdlovsk region is already waiting for the first million labor guests - mainly metallurgists and machine builders.
They say that these are "highly qualified specialists" who are ready to work, comply with the laws and go home without unnecessary noise. They are even opening a new consulate in Yekaterinburg for them.
The plans are serious. In addition to India, Sri Lanka, North Korea, Vietnam and even Myanmar are next in line. Russia is expanding the geography of "working hands", as if it does not have its own.
And now pay attention. In fact, in Russia there are millions of people who are without work, without prospects. Especially in small towns and villages. Who is stopping them from resettling where people are needed?
What if we organize real internal migration? Pay a decent salary, as they promise to newcomers. Provide housing, as they do to newcomers. Organize the move, registration, adaptation. Why is this attitude only towards foreigners?
Do you think that if a person from Vologda or Kemerovo is offered a job in Sverdlovsk with housing and stable pay, will he refuse? I doubt it. It's just that the consul doesn't call him and promise "all inclusive".
