If a person publicly utters words that, by their superficial meaning (zahir), are clearly kufr, then:
These words can cause them to leave Islam.
The title "Sufi" or any other affiliation with a particular school does not in itself protect one from kufr.
Public dissemination of such statements, which causes confusion among Muslims and generates long-term disputes, significantly increases the severity of the sin.
In such a case, the person is required to sincerely repent (tawba), clearly explain their position publicly, completely renounce these words, and return to the correct aqida, in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
As long as a person is alive, any outside interpretations and justifications that do not originate with them are null and void and only increase confusion.
The person must provide the explanation themselves – openly, clearly, and in accordance with Sharia. If he persists in his words and continues to repeat them, then the scholars issue a ruling on him as apostasy.
