🐇 Protect your pet rabbit from serious diseases, such as calicivirus, with a yearly vaccine. Our vet, Dr James Haberfield, and his little mate, Dusty Bunny, provide helpful tips on what to expect at our clinic when it's time for your rabbit's health check. 🕙

🧑🏻⚕️ What's Involved in a Rabbit Health Check-up?
We discuss how you should feed your rabbit and care for them before we examine your furry friend from head to toe. Our vets will check their teeth and the rest of the body, listen to the heart, lungs, and belly, and ensure everything is normal.
💉 What Happens During My Pet Rabbit's Vaccination?
Our vets will administer the vaccine if everything is okay from the initial examination. It is a prudent precaution because it gives your rabbit the most robust possible defence against the potentially lethal calicivirus virus. There are several methods by which calicivirus may propagate. Bugs, however, are a major vector.
When our vets are sure that everything is well with your rabbit, you can take him home and make an appointment for the following 12 months. However, the staff at Unusual Pet Vets are always here to help you if any problems arise earlier than your next visit.
