Rotten Fields is one of 2 total maps in DBD that does not have a single unique tile or unique main building. The killer shack serves as the main building and it will always sit in the middle of the map with the basement inside. The map is made up of haystack/barrel tiles as well as 4 of the 6 common tiles that appear on almost every map. Besides these, it does have the strong "Harvester" tile as well as the strong "Meat Tree" tile. This maps strength for survivors is its space. It is a huge map that results in one of the highest escape rates in dbd despite it not having any insanely strong-easily exploitable tiles. Survivors can utilize just Holding W and have it work tremendously. But you cannot just hold w, you have to have strategy to maximize and increase the distance!
Single Pallet gym - These are connectors/time wasters. Since it is a very unsafe tile, it would be best used to break line of sight, then hold w to get to a safer tile, or predropped since it is not a blood-lustable pallet. Remember to use the short side as well as this is an easily greedable pallet that a lot of killers won't anticipate you utilizing!
LT walls - This tile is a time waster and you will end up taking a hit unless there is another tile close enough to chain. Run the L side first then switch to the T. Run tight circles around the T and wait for the killer to mindgame themselves then switch and jump through the L wall. Once the killer has mind-gamed himself once, it opens up opportunity to run straight at the window for another mind game or a jump through since the killer is so used to you not jumping. Once one mind game has been won, the snowball starts rolling and the killer starts doubting their tactics. Once doubt has crept into their mind, the chase is over.
Pallet/window gym - This is the most common tile, in my experience, and is the second safest, in my opinion. The objective for this tile is to run the pallet side until the killer is close enough to not go around the window the long way, to then jump the window resetting the distance between you and the killer. If you cannot see the killer, it is a good idea to reset and run to the window as the killer will probably be trying to moonwalk. Once the pallet is down it is a very safe pallet as long as you are patient in vaulting it.
Longwall gym - This is the easiest to connect to nearby tiles due to the very strong window in the middle of the bottom wall. The objective is to run the pallet wall, for until in the right position to jump the very safe window. You can change to the window while being pushed either direction and it is still viable, but you want to be running directly from the pallet to the window. This is the ideal direction to path. Any direction you are pushed there is a window you could make or pallet you could throw until bloodlust kicks in on this tile.
Killer Shack - Standard killer shack in the middle of the map. Use all sides including the back of the killer shack. Since the basement is always in the killer shack and the killer shack is always in the middle of the map, it is a good idea to throw the pallet instead of going down if outplayed, even if there are 5 gens remaining, specifically against a killer that is proficient at basement camping (bubba, huntress, trickster etc)
Harvester - Harvester was nerfed and is no longer the op tile we all knew and loved (exploited), nowadays it's just a pretty good tile. First chance vs a killer in the match, jump the window to the long haystack and see if the killer can make the jump without meleeing. If they can not just wait there until they get onto the hay stack, then vault both windows, using the gained space to run around the harvester.
Meat Tree - Strongest tile on the map. The pallet is incredibly strong and not blood-lustable paired with a window close by. You can run this tile any direction. It is impossible to slow fast vault from outside the window if you are running towards it from the pallet. This is to keep the tile from becoming op. Make sure to use the small side of the pallet for greeds and extra loops once the killer has caught up!
Also Included in this video is miscellaneous advanced solo queue survivor tips, as well as how to hold W most efficiently, which is the main tactic on this map. The rest is tile knowledge and proper positioning
