Ruby Franke is an oft-criticized Mormon vlogger who has developed a negative reputation for her disturbing and ab*sive parenting style that was displayed on her 8 Passengers family YouTube channel.

For years neighboring residents in Springville, Utah and Internet viewers have expressed concern for her kids' wellbeing, but authorities have not stepped in -- until now. It all came to a head in late August of 2023 when Franke's 12-year-old son escaped the home bound in duct tape, to ask a neighbor for something to eat. As of August 30th, Ruby Franke and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt have been arrested on suspicion of child ab*use.
