What is this lesson all about?
The LET, also known as the names in formulas, is a function that allows users to name and define a variable and use a calculation within the formula.
And in this video, we are going to briefly discuss its syntax, usage, availability, and benefits.
When and where can the lesson be used?
FLASH: LET SYNTAX
The LET syntax has three arguments - name, value, and the calculation.
The first argument is the name you assign to the variable.
Then, followed by the value associated with the variable.
Lastly, the final argument is the calculation to perform.
Take note that in a LET equation, the names and their values should be in pairs.
And a properly structured LET equation has an odd number of arguments.
Moreover, the LET can support up to 126 variables.
