In this video there will be an assembly of a small Sherman in 1/100 scale from the company "Zvezda" with a multiple launch rocket system.
The system received the designation T34 and its own name "Calliope" due to the similarity with the musical instrument-organ of the steam era, which, in turn, was named after the Greek muse of poetry.
Missile guidance was carried out simply and ingeniously: the course angle of the guides was set by turning the tank turret, the elevation angle - by lifting the gun, with which the guides were connected by a special thrust. The crew had to leave the tank only to reload. In various modifications "Calliopes" carried a total of 60 or 64 guides for shells with a caliber of 4.6 inches (117 mm), and then 7.2 inches (180 mm).
