📚Game Story:
Long ago, the kingdom of Betweenlands was ruled by the immortal Queen Marika and her fellow demigods. Together, they led the country to prosperity under the sign of the Golden Order: a part-religious, part-philosophical doctrine, the central pillar of which is the very same Elden Ring—a sacred symbol and runic scripture all rolled into one, responsible for the rules of the universe.
But this era of prosperity ended abruptly in betrayal, when one of the demigods secretly stole the Rune of Predestined Death—without it, all living things (including the gods) are doomed sooner or later to become undead. A schism brewed in the royal court, soon culminating in a bloody civil war. The ruler's former allies quickly tore the metaphysical ring into pieces, fearing the loss of their former power. The desperate queen had no choice but to summon a legion of Extinct Ones to her homeland: the exiled descendants of the first demigod who had turned undead. Only they could reassemble the shattered Elden Ring and restore the Golden Order—or build their own on its ashes.
