I still have the first gen Xiaomi Yicam and it still works. It's a good alternative webcam if you don't have one on your PC. No paid apps needed you just need a micro HDMI to HDMI cable and a capture card.
If you don't have a xiaomi camera this should also work on other cameras that has a HDMI out port.
