Does Ballistic actually need a buff?
There was a time when Ballistic felt completely broken. His abilities were everywhere, his ultimate could completely take over fights, and he genuinely felt like one of the strongest legends in Apex Legends for aggressive players.
But now?
Hardly anyone seems to play him.
So in this video I’m taking Ballistic into casual Wildcard matches, testing his abilities, trying out different weapons and playstyles, and talking about whether he’s still underrated or if Respawn actually needs to buff him again.
Alongside the gameplay, this is more of a chilled Apex discussion video where we talk about the current state of the Apex meta, how support and mobility legends have changed the game, and why some older legends seem to get completely forgotten over time.

Ballistic is still such a unique legend. The sling weapon mechanic, aggressive utility, and ultimate can still feel incredibly strong in the right situations — especially for players who like fast-paced fights and constantly applying pressure.
The problem is:
The Apex meta has changed a LOT.
With newer legends, movement-heavy gameplay, and the current balance changes, Ballistic feels like he’s fallen out of the spotlight despite once being considered incredibly OP.
So the question is:
Does Ballistic actually deserve buffs?
Or are people just sleeping on him?
