Live bait fishing rod
The design of this tackle is simple, making it popular among anglers. Today, a spinning rod 2.6-3.1 meters long with a casting weight of up to 70 grams is most commonly used. A standard reel with a 4000 spool is attached to the rod, onto which 100 meters of 0.3 mm line is spooled. A 20-30 cm metal leader is required. A float is attached to the line above the leader, then a weight is attached using a sliding rig. Its weight is individually selected based on fishing conditions. However, experience shows that for fishing in areas with moderate currents, if the bait needs to be cast 45-60 meters, 35-45 grams is sufficient, while in strong currents, up to 100 grams is sufficient. A treble, double, or single hook, #3-4, is attached to the metal leader, and this is where the live bait is baited. It is important to ensure that the tee used is of high quality; the effectiveness largely depends on the sharpness of the tip, as well as the reliability of the wire from which the tee is made.
