Retrax Retractable Tonneau Cover & Yakima Truck Bed Rack On Toyota Tacoma
RetraxPRO XR Retractable Tonneau Cover & Yakima OverHaul HD Truck Bed Rack on Toyota Tacoma
The Toyota Tacoma is one of the most popular midsize trucks on the road, and for good reason—it’s reliable, versatile, and built to handle both everyday driving and weekend adventures. To maximize its potential, many Tacoma owners choose to upgrade their truck bed with a combination of a RetraxPRO XR retractable tonneau cover and a Yakima OverHaul HD truck bed rack system. Together, these two premium products create the ultimate setup for both work and play.
At Truck Access Plus, we specialize in installing tonneau covers and rack systems for Toyota Tacoma owners who want the perfect balance of security, utility, and hauling capacity.
RetraxPRO XR Retractable Tonneau Cover
The RetraxPRO XR is one of the strongest and most versatile retractable tonneau covers available for the Toyota Tacoma. Built from heavy-duty aluminum slats, it provides unmatched durability and weather resistance, keeping your gear secure and protected inside the truck bed.
What sets the RetraxPRO XR apart is its Trax Rail System, which allows for seamless integration with T-slot compatible rack systems, including the Yakima OverHaul HD. This makes it the perfect foundation for a rack-and-cover combination on your Tacoma.
Key Benefits of the RetraxPRO XR:
Durable Aluminum Construction – Strong enough to support up to 500 lbs. evenly distributed on top.
Weather Protection – Keeps gear safe from rain, dust, and debris.
Retractable Operation – Smooth, lockable cover that can stop at any position along the bed.
Trax Rail System – Designed for use with rack systems like Yakima OverHaul HD.
Yakima OverHaul HD Truck Bed Rack
For Tacoma owners who need maximum versatility, the Yakima OverHaul HD is a heavy-duty truck bed rack system that adjusts to your needs. Its standout feature is the height adjustability—you can raise it up to cab height for long loads like kayaks and ladders, or lower it down for easier access and reduced wind drag.
The OverHaul HD mounts directly to the RetraxPRO XR’s Trax Rail System, ensuring a clean, secure, and functional setup without drilling into your Tacoma. This combination gives you a strong, stable rack platform above the truck bed while still maintaining the ability to open and close your tonneau cover below.
Key Benefits of the Yakima OverHaul HD:
Height Adjustable – Switch between mid-level and cab-level positions.
Heavy-Duty Load Capacity – Designed to carry up to 500 lbs. on-road and 300 lbs. off-road.
Accessory Compatible – Works with Yakima crossbars, rooftop tents, bike mounts, kayak carriers, and more.
Perfect Fit for RetraxPRO XR – Mounts seamlessly into the Trax Rails without compromising bed cover function.
The Ultimate Tacoma Setup: Cover + Rack
By combining the RetraxPRO XR retractable cover with the Yakima OverHaul HD rack system, your Toyota Tacoma gains the ultimate balance of security and storage flexibility. You’ll be able to lock valuable items under the cover while hauling oversized gear on top of the rack.
This setup is perfect for:
Outdoor Adventures – Kayaks, paddleboards, mountain bikes, rooftop tents.
Work & Jobsite Use – Ladders, lumber, tools, and oversized equipment.
Everyday Utility – Protecting groceries, luggage, and personal items in the bed while carrying extra cargo above.
