In this video, we build a secure NAS cloud server using Raspberry Pi 3B+ and a USB pendrive — completely headless, without using a monitor. We install Raspberry Pi OS Lite (https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/..., enable SSH manually, create a user securely, mount USB storage, configure Samba file sharing, and access files from mobile and laptop.

We also show how to securely access your NAS from anywhere using Tailscale VPN — without port forwarding and without exposing your network to the internet.

This method is beginner-friendly, low-cost, and much safer than directly opening NAS ports.

Perfect for:

Personal cloud storage
Home NAS
Raspberry Pi server projects
DIY backup server
Learning Linux + networking

⚠️ Important: Do not port-forward Samba. Follow the Tailscale method shown for secure remote access.
