Generate Normal Map in 3ds Max Fast!!!
A lot of people shy away from using 3DS Max's native Normal Map generation tool but it is actually really easy to use !
Here’s how !

How to generate a Normal Map in 3DS Max fast :D
First make sure you have the high and low poly version of your model imported [I said “selected” in the video, I meant to say “imported”].
Then you make sure that Super Sampling is turned on like so.
Then you align the two models so that they both occupy the same space.
With the Low poly version of the model selected, open the Render to Texture Dialog.
Enable Projection Mapping & pick the high poly model.
Make sure to use Existing Channel [I am assuming you have set the UVs of your model before you do all this.]
Select Normal Map and then set the resolution of the map to be generated...
Now back to the modifier, adjust the cage of the low poly model by first clicking reset, and
then checked the shaded option to see what you are working with,
Proceed to adjust the push amount so that the cage completely covers all the protruded details of the high poly model.
Click Render.
Done !
Use normal map, all the time !
EVEN in productions! Not just for Games!
It is so good you can get away with a lot of things, I even use it in production for close ups.
