A tutorial on how to make a ticking (tick tock) sound generator circuit using 555 timer IC on a breadboard. This circuit can also be configured to produce beats with similar timing to that of heart beat sounds.

Below is the list of components required for building the ticking sound generator circuit:
555 IC
8 Ohm Speaker
LED (Optional)
Capacitor - 2 x 10uF
Resistors - 47K, 220R
Breadboard
Breadboard Connectors
Power Supply (5-9)V
Refer to the LED resistor table shown in the video tutorial for the exact value of LED's series resistor (220R)

This circuit uses 555 timer IC in astable mode to generate continuous clock pulses (Square wave). These pulses are passed into a 8-Ohm speaker and it generates a tic sound each time the voltage changes.
