Autumn is slowly finding its way into our home, and today I’m getting my kitchen ready for fall. In this cozy slow living video, I’m decorating the kitchen, baking homemade buns, painting with watercolor, refreshing a picture frame, changing the curtains, touching up the ceiling paint, and creating a warmer, softer atmosphere at home.
I also clean and organize the kitchen, arrange my favorite autumn dishes and artwork, take a peaceful walk in the park, and make a simple fall wreath from leaves gathered in my own garden.
This video is all about cozy fall decorating, homemaking, baking, watercolor painting, seasonal kitchen decor, simple home updates, autumn inspiration, and quiet everyday moments.
Thank you for spending this peaceful autumn day with me. 🍂
Sweet Sourdough Buns
Ingredients:
200 g active sourdough starter
4 eggs
180–200 ml warm milk
120 g sugar
120 g softened butter
1–2 tsp vanilla
8 g salt
650–700 g all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Mix the sourdough starter, eggs, warm milk, sugar, and vanilla. Gradually add the flour and salt and knead until a soft dough forms.
Add the softened butter little by little and continue kneading until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. The dough should stay very soft and slightly sticky, so try not to add too much flour.
Cover and leave to ferment overnight.
In the morning, shape the buns and let them rise for about 1½–2 hours, or until noticeably puffy.
Brush with beaten egg before baking, if desired.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
You can add cherries, figs, raisins, or any filling you like.
