Radima was only one year and eight months old when her mother and older sister were murdered by a close relative—her half-brother, Mukhmad Kostoyev, from Ingushetia.
The crime occurred in Nalchik in 1984. However, Kostoyev escaped punishment for the double murder and rape of a minor for over forty years.
As an adult, Radima successfully reopened the investigation. Modern DNA testing helped confirm Kostoyev's involvement, and 41 years later, the court finally found him guilty.
How one girl, left without a mother and sister, dedicated decades to fighting for justice—we tell you in our shorts.
