7th Annual Bright Light Event in Raymond, NH
BRIGHT LIGHTS - Uplifting all as ONE
For the 7th year running the Raymond ,NH, Fire House was turned into a place of Bright Light, celebrating all that the back bone of our communities selflessly give year round.
Whether it is the Dispatch center, the Police force, the Firemen/women staff, the Teachers or the Town Officials and volunteers, and of course our precious veterans ..... These folks stand for us all, regardless of our age, sex, race, religion and level of need.
The "Bright Light" event honoring and thanking them happens annually on the Friday before Thanksgiving week. It is an event that is spreading up and down the east coast and out across our great country. Unique in each location, sometimes a flower given to that solitary Police Woman all the way to a full day event, BLEs are people saying "Your Presence Matters" to those who tend to our villages and cities and US. Bright Light Events matter.
As one Police man said upon entering the doors of this BLE, "I wait all year for this." As a town official said, upon receiving a token reminder of her value, "I cry every time you tell me I matter. There are many days I just want to sit down and cry." As a Fireman said upon experiencing his first BLE, "This makes it all worth while." As a Veteran entering, baring significant scars from the war fought on our behalf, said "WOW, I guess I really do matter and it really mattered!".
