Conference Room Video Wall Installation
This is a time lapse video of the installation of a video wall in a conference room of a construction firm in the Brainerd Lakes area. A 'video wall' is a series of displays that come together to make up one larger singular display. One of the biggest benefits of a video wall is, versus a traditional projection system, is their ability to be used in nearly any room regardless of the amount of ambient light that is present.
This particular video wall has the ultimate amount of flexibility, users are able to select from multiple 'sources' and route them to one of the four individual displays or to choose to have it 'expanded' so that it covers all four screens and forms a 110" image. Among the sources in this system was a DirecTV satellite receiver, a Crestron AirMedia wireless presentatin system, an auxiliary HDMI connection in a recessed floor box, and an office computer with four separate monitor outputs.
A single 10" Crestron touchpanel is used for initial setup and configuration of the room. There are 'favorite' presets that initialize the system to utilize the most common configurations which limits setup to 1-2 button presses at most, limiting setup time and maximizing room usage.
