SquareEnix views the release of Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a success; however, both Remake and Rebirth contain questionable changes and censorship that toned down a lot of which made the original Playstation version so well received. For the die-hard FFVII fans, Rebirth feels like it took away the original title's edge and personality as SquareEnix slowly pushes Final Fantasy VII even further towards the: "Modern Audience".
