Install VMWare tools in VMWare Player - Linux (Ubuntu / POP_OS)
Just a quick video on how to install the VMWare tools in VMWare Player.
I received the below error trying to go into full screen mode and then trying to install the tools from the URL provided in the error:
"VMware Tools is no longer shipped with VMWare Player for legacy guest operating systems."
To install the tools run the below from a terminal:
sudo apt install open-vm-tools
sudo apt install open-vm-tools-desktop
You should now be able to go in to full screen in your VM and use the other functionality provided by the VMWare Tools
