The template for a SCREW brick column is very easy to make. I cut it out of a piece of Euro OSB. One right angle is made, and a second right angle is placed on top of it. The offset (twist) is two centimeters, but this is very little. For a spiral brick column to look good, the spiral needs to be twisted more.
Since I used perforated brick for the spiral brick column, if I twist the spiral more, holes will stick out and need to be filled with white mortar. The foreman told me not to waste time filling in the perforated bricks, but to simply make a spiral so that the holes don't stick out, in other words, to reduce the offset.
