Fixation of the upper cervical spine (C0-C1), diagnostic methods, and correction techniques. The Institute of Clinical Applied Kinesiology in St. Petersburg presents a video from a seminar on Applied Kinesiology.
Kristina Georgievna Khachaturova, a lecturer at the Institute of Clinical Applied Kinesiology, physical therapist, and applied kinesiologist, will explain how to diagnose the upper cervical spine (C0-C1 vertebrae), as well as techniques for correcting the identified dysfunction.
The seminar "PC-2. The Structural Component of the Health Triangle. General Diagnostic and Treatment Procedures. Level 2" is based on training in manual spinal therapy techniques and osteopathic techniques used in the diagnosis and restoration of the human spinal motion segment.

The spinal motion segment is a structural unit of the spinal column that determines the overall motor capacity of the spine. When its functions are impaired, instability or, conversely, blockage occurs, which, in turn, leads to nerve compression and the development of pain syndromes. Due to pain, the range and mechanics of movement change, and a person decreases their motor activity. Thus, instability of the motion segments leads to compression of blood vessels and nerves, muscle wasting, the formation of bone spurs, dysfunction of internal organs, and many other serious problems.
Is cervical osteochondrosis of the motion segments the true cause of muscle pain? Which internal organ diseases contribute to decreased tone in a particular muscle? To understand the cause of certain disorders, it is necessary to be able to engage in a kind of dialogue with the patient's body—this is precisely what the manual techniques taught in our course facilitate. Applied kinesiology allows us to obtain feedback from the body. Through muscle testing, we evaluate movement mechanisms and identify disorders. An accurate diagnosis allows us to select the most effective treatment method.
Specialists who have completed a high-quality training course in applied kinesiology can use PK methods to diagnose spinal motion disorders and restore them.
