KiCad 5.0 - Custom Pad Shapes
When you have a really oddly shaped footprint pad, you will need to compound multiple primitives like polygons, arcs, circles and rectangles. This video shows how to make more complex designs for modern components and how it differs from the methods in past versions of KiCad.
