YouTube Clone | Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
In this video, I showcase a feature-rich clone of YouTube that I developed from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This project was designed to replicate the dynamic content delivery and core functionalities of the original platform.
Key Technical Features:
● Dynamic Content with APIs: Integrated a free API to dynamically load real videos and related metadata, including titles and channel names [00:22].
● Intelligent Search with Auto-Complete: Implemented a search bar featuring an auto-complete system powered by an external API to enhance user navigation [00:32].
● Embedded Video Playback: Utilized iframes to enable seamless video playback with full controls (play/pause), mirroring the native YouTube experience [00:54].
● Contextual Related Videos: Developed a recommendation system that displays relevant videos on the sidebar based on the current selection [01:07].
● Interactive Loading Animations: Added a custom loading animation to provide visual feedback while content is being fetched from the API [00:11].
