The Overloud Comp 160 recreates three classic revisions of the legendary dbx 160 VU-style hardware compressor. Each model delivers a slightly different tone and response while maintaining the fast, punchy behavior VCA compressors are known for.

• VU: the original revision with a punchy, aggressive analog character
• XT: smoother and warmer with a fuller low-end response
• A: a cleaner, more modern and transparent evolution
Like other plug-ins in the Overloud Gem series, Comp 160 expands the original hardware concept with modern mixing features such as:
• Mid-Side processing
• Parallel compression
• Adjustable harmonic saturation
• LF sensitivity control (anti-pumping)
• Oversampling and advanced metering
