Passive learning is like just reading a book or watching a video. Active learning is a much better way to learn since you become an active participant in the learning process.
Active learning means you are implementing what you're learning immediately by using the code, studying the code and trying to refactor the way the code works.
I advise people to take notes on a notepad or index cards. This will help you to reinforce the learning process and ensure you get a better understanding of how the code actually works.
I also recommend that you try to eliminate distractions as much as possible so you can focus on learning how to code without interruptions.
One thing I tell people is to never give up. Learning to code is a hard and difficult process that takes time. It won't happen overnight but I believe everyone can learn how to code as long as they take the learning process seriously and focus on following a schedule which ensures they can practice how to code on a daily basis.
My goal is to teach people how to code and how to create their own freelance business.
