Online lecture: the science behind an earthquake
The devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria on the 6th of February 2023 raises many questions. What happened - from the geoscientific perspective - what can we expect in the future, and can earthquakes like these be predicted? Utrecht University’s tectonics expert Rob Govers addresses these questions and questions from the audience.
On Monday the 20th of February 2023, Utrecht University is organising a group meeting for students and staff who are affected by the earthquakes in Turkey.
