She celebrated her 32nd birthday just the day before.
But the party wasn't over just yet for Katy Perry as she was treated to a lavish birthday cake at the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America/Vogue Fashion Fund's Show and Tea presented by Kate Spade New York on Wednesday.
Clearly overjoyed by the sweet treat, the pop starlet was seen gleefully blowing out her candles as the guests at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont cheered on.
The touching gift was no doubt a welcome surprise for the Birthday hitmaker, who was also reportedly treated to a giant bouquet of flowers from her beau, Orlando Bloom.
The actor allegedly 'buried' her in blooms from afar since he is currently in China filming his next project, Smart Chase: Fire & Earth.
A source told HollywoodLife: 'Orlando buried Katy in flowers on her birthday and felt horrible he could not be there for her birthday.
'He has been super busy on set of his new movie in China and while things have cooled off a bit between the two, they still FaceTime and text regularly.
'Katy still considers him her prince and she was blown away by the surprise flowers he sent from halfway around the world.'
Katy also received some extra treats from Fashion Bible Vogue, who were keeping track of the proceedings on Snapchat, made sure to wish her a happy birthday in one of their multiple posts involving her.
Solid white dots were splattered all over the outfit, which otherwise was comprised of white fabric at varying degrees of sheerness.
Under her relatively solid turtleneck was a particularly sheer section that stopped just short of baring a bit of cleavage.
Beneath that was a curved ring of pleated fabric that encircled her bust and wound its way about both arms.
Another section of sheerer cloth allowed her midriff to show through, and the waist was cinched with a slender strip of gleaming silver fabric.
More asymmetrical layers of pleats and frills spilled down the skirt portion of her ensemble, culminating in a curved hem.
A pair of glinting black ankle-strap stilettos clashed against the outfit, but elegantly matched her hair, which was pulled severely back and tied into a ponytail.
Later that evening Katy headed for the CFDA Dinner in a completely new outfit, but kept the colour scheme the exact same.
She slipped into a white pair of wide-legged trousers and heels, with a high-waisted belt.
She left her snow white cardigan unbuttoned to reveal a barely-there sheer lace top, which in turn revealed plenty of cleavage in an off-white corset.
Her hair she kept back in her neatly gold-banded ponytail, while her make-up came dramatically to life in the dark, including a much bolder lipstick choice.
Earlier on at the fashion event, had found herself seated in quite the celebrity-strewn row. Directly next to her was Emma Stone, who showcased her pencil thin porcelain legs in a grey skirt she paired with a sheer white top.
On the Easy A actress' other side sat Kristen Stewart, whose platinum blonde hair was, as usual lately, slicked back.
A black blazer concealed her top and complemented not only her black sunglasses, but also the black hems and black strips running down her otherwise brown capris.
Next to her sat her girlfriend, St Vincent, whose curly hair spilled over her forehead and brushed against her own black sunglasses.
A large collar adorned her red, grey and white checked top, which betrayed only the faintest hint of midriff over her high-waisted black trousers.
Perry posed alongside a troupe of starlets whilst vertical as well. Demi Moore let her hair flow free over a long with black diamond patterns and black and white splotches on a red field.
The black leather purse she held went stylishly with her black trousers, and in fact was an elegant companion piece to the black clutch the Roar singer had brought.
She also rubbed shoulders with Ciara, who wore an Oxford blue blazer over a black leather pleated miniskirt. Vogue captured the encounter for Snapchat.
Ciara had turned 31 - and, incidentally, announced her first pregnancy via her husband Russell Wilson - the same day Perry turned 32. As a consequence, the Snapchat filter set crowns on each of their heads.
In addition to a Snapchat post in which Orlando Bloom's girlfriend appeared with the caption 'HBD Katy,' she popped up in another one in which she grinned broadly and spread her arms.
The caption on that post reminded Vogue's social media following that 'Fashion is FUN... you heard it here first.'
A claque of figures from the fashion industry were, naturally, out in full force for the Chateau Marmont festivities.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a flared-cuff white top, having undone so many buttons her right cuff fell far off her shoulder.
