I decided to redo this series with a bit more research this time. Making sure it's from that system & from that Soundchip.

YM3526 (OPL)
Game: Terra Cresta
Song: Theme of TerraCresta
System: Arcades & Commodore 64
Info: It's a 2-Operator FM synthesis soundchip with 9 Mono sound channels.

YM2413 (OPLL)
Game: Out-Run 3D
Song: Shining Wind
System: Arcades, Sega master System, multiple PC's.
Info: A Cost reduced version of YM3812 (OPL2) where instruments are built-in with a Percussion set & is only allowed to have 1 custom instrument at-a-time.
This later had a clone version known as "VRC7" by Konami where they cut the channels down to 6 & percussion set is removed & instruments changed.

Y8950 (MSX-AUDIO)
Game: Xevious
Song: Select your Tactics!
System: MSX2
Info: Basically the same as YM3526 but with a 4-bit ADPCM channel added.

YM3812 (OPL2)
Game: The Secret to Monkey Island
Song: Title Theme
System: PC
Info: It's a slight-Upgrade to YM3526 where they've added new waveforms. This became more popular however since it was in those famous soundcards such as SoundBlaster & AdLib.

YMF262 (OPL3)
Game: DOOM
Song: At Doom's Gate
System: PC
Info: A huge upgrade from the other soundchips. It contains 18 sound channels & has an option to have 4-operators instead of 2 + Stereo panning & new waveforms. Also famous in soundcards like SoundBlaster 16.

YMF278 (OPL4)
Game: Sonyc
Song: Intro
System: MSX2
Info: An underrated soundchip where this has over 24 sound channels & uses sound samples + FM Synthesis from OPL3 (kinda similar to the SNES mixed with the Genesis) complete with Stereo panning & 44.1Khz of sound quality.
