Why does God allow sickness and pain in His children? | C.H. Spurgeon
Sickness does not separate the believer from Christ; In fact, it can be of great benefit to those who know Christ and use their illness wisely: we can glorify God during our illness. If Jesus loves you and you are sick, let the whole world see how you glorify God with your illness.” Do we believe it? Indeed, God uses illness for the good of the lost and for His glory in His people. Christ loves His people, especially in their times of illness. If Jesus loves you and you are sick, let the whole world see how you glorify God with your illness. Let friends and nurses see how the Lord brings joy and comfort to His loved ones. Let your holy acceptance of illness amaze them and lead them to admire your Beloved, who is so generous with you and makes you happy in the midst of pain, and helps you remain joyful, even on the threshold of death.
