Join my friend Paul Thomson and me as we spend the day photographing a stunning waterfall on the east side of Vancouver Island. The hike into Rosewall Creek is about 5km, and the reward at the end is a truly beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush forest.
In this video, I share some of the thought processes I go through when deciding how to compose my images—what works, what doesn’t, and how I approach the scene creatively. Along the way, I stumble upon an incredible patch of mushrooms that becomes an unexpected highlight for some intimate nature photography.
