Escape from Tarkov is a tactical multiplayer online first-person shooter with RPG and MMO elements, developed and published by Battlestate Games. Announced in 2015, the game has been in closed beta since 2017.
The game takes place in the fictional Russian city of Tarkov, engulfed in anarchy. Players, as fighters for warring private military companies, must raid various areas of the city, attempting to collect valuable items and escape the dangerous area. Each player faces off against both human opponents and computer-controlled opponents. If a character dies, all equipment and collected items are lost.
