Lesson #2, The Stationary Square, displays a red square on a blank screen. Prior to watching this video, teens that are new to programming should watch Lesson #1, The Blank Screen. There is a companion blog for these videos, http://pychildren.blogspot.com. These lessons were originally developed for my son when he was in middle school. The initial video series focuses exclusively on using Python, Pygame and PGS4A to teach computer programming techniques. This teaching technique is developed specifically for teenagers and emphasizes 1) repetition of drills; 2) mobile game development for Android; 3) uses the same language and libraries as adult programmers (avoids custom libraries and platforms designed for teaching. No Alice or Scratch in these).
