2021 OCP Global Summit: Data Center Operation Technology: Monitoring and Logging for Security
Operational Technology (OT) used to run Data Centers, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS) that support building operations, are frequently designed to support multiple generations of IT equipment. Because OT must prioritize robustness and availability, it often lags behind IT in modern security best practices. In this panel we will discuss our approach to improving OT security through a set of monitoring and logging guidelines. By regularizing the data available across OT equipment and how that data may be utilized with a security context, we hope to help elevate OT security closer towards IT security levels.
