Infrared remote controls are widely used with various devices, including controlling TVs, radios, air conditioners, and so on.

Infrared remote control modules are still used, even though there are more sophisticated methods such as Wi-Fi for controlling devices remotely. Through a Wi-Fi network, devices can be controlled either through a browser or a smartphone.

However, if a Wi-Fi signal, whether from a router or smartphone, is unavailable, we want another way to still control our devices.

For example, with this infrared remote control module. Well, it can be used as a primary or supplementary control device.

This video tutorial explains in detail the HX 1838 module, one such infrared remote control module. The tutorial on how to connect and create the program code is divided into three parts.

The first part explains the circuit and simple program code using only the remote control module.

The second part explains how the HX 1838 remote control can be used to control LED lights.

The third part explains how other remote controls can also be used to control LED lights.
