Today, I will show you how to close down a Google Business profile. You might wish to do this because your location is closing or moving, or it's an old account where you don't actually have a location.
Please DO NOT create an account where you don’t actually have a location. Some people advised this practice in the past to cover additional regional areas, but it will only increase your risk of having your account suspended.
1/ Once you’re in your Google Business profile, go to the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner.
2/ Click Business Profile Settings.
3/ Click Remove Business Profile.
4/ Go down to Remove profile and content managers.
Here is where you can download your content and mark your business as permanently closed.
*One thing to note is that you have to be the Account Owner to do this.
