Drop of 1.5m to 3.5m (2 sequenced turbines are possible if 5m drop and larger flow)
Minimum flow of 1m3 (1000 lt/sec) constantly available throughout at least 9 months of the year.
For On-Grid, Feed-in options nearby (ideally under 200m, to avoid lengthy line connections)
Ideally: 3G (or better) reception to enable remote monitoring.
How Whirlpool Turbine works??
The water channel should be created in such a way that whirlpool can easily be generated as shown in the video above.
After that, the main component turbine is fitted in the lower core of the basin. This turbine generates electricity with the help of a submersible generator which is fitted inside it.
Also, a gate is provided in the channel to control the excess of water flow to maintain the required pressure of water and save the turbine.
As the water starts to flow whirlpool is generated and which gives the energy to rotate the turbine and generate electricity.
