Shootout in the Waiting Room | ER
Sam's ex-boyfriend Steve (Garret Dillahunt) has been brought to the hospital as a patient, but he uses friends on the outside to pose as police officers and help him escape, taking Sam and their son Alex (Dominic James) with him. Subtle signs from Sam tell Abby and the guards something's wrong, resulting in an intense, violent shootout.
