We're finally ready for the second part of our review of the timing gear phase shifter mechanism design for Opel vehicles with z16xer and z18xer engines. This time, it's in video format, as it's more visual than blog posts these days.
The first part, with a design overview of the timing gear kit for these first-generation engines, was published a couple of years ago on d2 (link to the post above in the description). We also cut apart the intake and exhaust gear sets (55567048, 55567049) and learned about their design.
In this vlog, we'll compare both generations and find out the differences between the first and second! Join us, it'll be interesting!
