🎬 In this episode of "Curated Cuts," Franck discusses the importance of the foreign data wrapper (FDW) capability, not only in PostgreSQL but also in YugabyteDB. Franck walks us through a demo where he uses Postgres FDW to access and query data from Amazon Redshift, which is not Postgres-compatible but built on an older version of Postgres. The demo demonstrates the ability to connect to Redshift, import metadata, query foreign tables, and optimize query execution by pushing down operations to the foreign database.
