Two friends, first-year college students, find themselves fighting in Afghanistan. Ryzhiy dies, and Martyn loses his leg after being seriously wounded. Returning home, he faces a new nightmare: his amputated leg "comes to life," transforming into a double who accepts murder as a normal part of life. This double proves stronger and more persistent than Martynov himself, completely altering his reality.
