Google Maps API Key Setup Guide 2025
In this video, I’ll show you how to set up your Google Maps API key for our Excel Distance Calculator tools, updated with the March 1, 2025 changes.

Important Notes:
Google replaced the Directions API—you must enable Routes API instead.
The Google Maps API is free for up to 10,000 calculations per month.
If you exceed the free limit, Google charges $5 per 1,000 additional requests.
