Installing MikroTik RouterOS on VMware Workstation involves creating a virtual machine (VM) and then installing RouterOS on it. Here are the steps to install MikroTik RouterOS on VMware Workstation:

⚪ Prerequisites:
VMware Workstation installed on your computer.
MikroTik RouterOS ISO image downloaded from the MikroTik website.

⚫ Installation Steps:

➼ Open VMware Workstation:
Launch VMware Workstation on your computer.

➼ Create a New Virtual Machine:
Click on "File" and then select "New Virtual Machine."
The New Virtual Machine Wizard will open.

➼ Choose Typical Configuration:
Select "Typical" and click "Next."

➼ Select the Installer Disk Image File:
Choose "Installer disk image file (iso)" and click "Browse."
Locate and select the MikroTik RouterOS ISO image you downloaded earlier.
Click "Next."

➼ Enter the Virtual Machine Name and Location:
Specify a name and location for your VM.
Click "Next."

➼ Specify Disk Capacity:
Set the disk size for your RouterOS VM. The default value should be sufficient for most purposes.
Click "Next."

➼ Ready to Create Virtual Machine:
Review the settings and click "Finish" to create the VM.

➼ Edit Virtual Machine Settings (Optional):
Before starting the VM, you can modify its settings as needed. Right-click on the VM in the VMware Workstation interface and select "Settings."
Here, you can adjust hardware settings, such as the number of CPU cores, RAM, network adapters, etc.

➼ Power On the VM:
Start the VM by clicking the "Power on this virtual machine" button in VMware Workstation.

➼ Install MikroTik RouterOS:
When the VM starts, it will boot from the MikroTik RouterOS ISO image.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install RouterOS on the virtual machine.
You will need to set up basic configuration settings like hostname, IP address, and password during the installation process.
