My wife Andrea went ahead to the park with Calo, my guide dog, and Luka, our son, so I wanted to take the opportunity to test myself and show you what it's like to walk the route from home blindfolded, without a cane, relying solely on the sensations in my feet and counting my steps.
Walking along a path you know by heart seems easy... but can you imagine doing the same thing on a completely unfamiliar street? That's when you truly realize how much things change and how much your guide dog reassures you every step of the way.
Luckily, my solo adventure didn't last long... and Calo's reaction when he came back for me was priceless! 🥹🐕✨
