Postman Pat Parcel Post at Alton Towers, join us for this full on ride video as we report to the sorting office and take control of Postman Pats iconic red van on his delivery route through Greendale.
Postman Pat Parcel Post Ride is a guided track ride manufactured by Metallbau Emmeln that opened in 2014 as part of the launch of CBeebies Land at Alton Towers.
Replacing the Old MacDonald's Tractor Ride from 1995, this interactive attraction allowed young guests to take on the role of delivery drivers, traveling through Greendale to deliver parcels to familiar locations, including Mrs. Goggins' Village Store and the Greendale Post Office. Featuring themed vehicles, engaging scenery, and plenty of familiar characters, this gentle adventure has been a staple for families visiting CBeebies Land at Alton Towers.
Postman Pat first aired in 1981 as a British stop-motion animated series created by Woodland Animations, following Pat Clifton, a friendly postman in the fictional village of Greendale. Over the years, the series evolved, leading to the 2008 spin-off Postman Pat: Special Delivery Service, which inspired this ride at CBeebies Land.
CBeebies Land itself opened on May 24, 2014, transforming the former Storybook Land and Old MacDonald's Farmyard into a vibrant area dedicated to the BBC's CBeebies brand. It was officially opened by Justin Fletcher, better known as Mr. Tumble. The area has continued to evolve, introducing new experiences like the Bluey Meet and Greet in 2024 and now preparing for its next major addition in 2026.
In 2025, Postman Pat Parcel Post Ride is operating for its final season before its removal to make way for Alton Towers’ 11th roller coaster, Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!. This new junior coaster is expected to bring fresh excitement to CBeebies Land, offering a thrilling yet family-friendly experience. The construction process will begin after the 2025 season, with the ride set to debut in 2026.
