We are the Omni Movement, an endeavor to make improvised partner dancing, more commonly known as social dancing, more accessible across the globe. An #OmniImprov is a thematic social dance where we improvise in a unique everyday context: marketplaces, night clubs, grocery stores, restaurants, and more. Omni believes YOU can dance with ANYONE ANYWHERE to ANYTHING.
In November, Imaan "PapaFuegz" Taghavi and I taught a bachata workshop for Baile de Fuego, the Latin dance club that he started at his alma mater UC Davis. In this video, PapaFuegz and I perform a demo of zouk and bachata after the class amidst all of the party lights. We connected beautifully to this song and to each other--one of the most memorable dance "rushes" I've ever experienced. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed dancing it!
