This Cubase quick tips video about drums production looks at how to beef up drum samples by adding additional electric or acoustic drum samples over the top. Creating hit points on the existing drum samples lets you thicken sounds by using them to create MIDI notes and using those to trigger additional drum components from Groove Agent. You can edit the sounds in Groove Agent, carefully layering drums from it over your existing drum samples to get the snare, bass drum, toms, cymbals or other elements of your beat sounding just right.
